These work differently from everything else here
The rest of the catalogue converts a file on your machine and nothing leaves it. These build a search query and then hand it to a search engine, which necessarily sends it somewhere.
So the honest wording is different: the query is built locally and we do not keep it, but running it reaches Google, Bing or DuckDuckGo, each with their own policies. That is a real distinction and it would be sloppy to blur it.
What they actually contain
Not a search index — expertise. Exact-phrase quoting so an engine cannot substitute something similar. Intent clusters that add the words an experienced searcher would include. Site inclusions that push toward sources known to be good, and exclusions that remove the farms built to rank rather than to answer.
That craft exists, most people have never been taught it, and it is the difference between a search that works and one that does not. These encode it so you do not have to carry it in your head.
One tasteful pointer, and no more
Each of these competes with pages that are mostly advertising. Carrying more than one in-house pointer card would make them the thing they are an alternative to, so they carry exactly one.
Several are here purely as goodwill. Recipe Finder sells nothing and funnels nowhere. It is a good tool and that is the whole reason it exists.
Our own software
Dictate it instead of typing it
Hold a key, say the sentence, and the words land in whatever Windows window you were already in. Runs on your own PC — no account, no upload, nothing to renew.
